Using the latest Spinlock inflatable lifejacket harness technology, the Deckvest VITO is based on design work for the 2017 - 2018 Volvo Ocean Race. All teams wore the same inflatable lifejacket harness developed in collaboration with a group of Volvo offshore sailors. A key aspect of the new design was a lifejacket that sailors wanted to wear more often and with numerous custom features.
Midrange Hexaratchet blocks grip loaded sheets, yet allow sailors to ease and trim quickly and with complete control. A switch on the side engages and disengages the ratchet mechanism.
Panel front is IP66 when mounted with the gasket in place - protected against powerful water jets. Includes a 15A circuit breaker switch and a pre-wired harness with dual USB and a 12V Charging Socket. Also, it has a Mini OLED Voltmeter and the integrated circuit breaker prevents a parasitic draw.
The 2021 edition includes up-to-date, consolidated text in line with amendments adopted up to 1 July 2021 and updated unified interpretations that have been keyed to relevant articles and regulations.
