Using the latest Spinlock inflatable lifejacket harness technology, the Deckvest VITO is based on design work for the 2017 - 2018 Volvo Ocean Race. All teams wore the same inflatable lifejacket harness developed in collaboration with a group of Volvo offshore sailors. A key aspect of the new design was a lifejacket that sailors wanted to wear more often and with numerous custom features.
The 1-1/4" diameter x 1-3/4" wide plastic PVC insert helps distribute load evenly over the entire rope hold area for maximum performance and longevity.
The vane is permanently attached to the stake while the plastic base easily slides in and out of the bow eye fairlead, held in place for sailing with the stake. Simple to install and remove after sailing.
