Using the latest Spinlock inflatable lifejacket harness technology, the Deckvest VITO is based on design work for the 2017 - 2018 Volvo Ocean Race. All teams wore the same inflatable lifejacket harness developed in collaboration with a group of Volvo offshore sailors. A key aspect of the new design was a lifejacket that sailors wanted to wear more often and with numerous custom features.
Provides an international standard for safe stowage and securing of cargoes to promote the safety of life both at sea and during loading and discharge.
Incorporates Amendment 07-23, which may be applied on a voluntary basis from 1 January 2024, anticipating its envisaged official entry into force on 1 January 2025.
