We bought a sailboat which had been sitting for 5 years. Evacuated and properly disposed of old diesel. Hard layer of black crap (like char-soot) on the bottom of the alum. tank. Could barely scape it off with a fingernail. Put in 2 galls of fresh diesel with about 3 oz of Star Tron Diesel. Next day pulled lid and it looked like it had not done anything.. till i went to touch the tank... all the hard soot was dissolved and became like a cloud in the diesel. Sucked that out and we had a sparkling clean fuel tank. Wow. Yep I use it all the time now. My old Perkins loves it. Also using the gas version for my Honda EU2000... that's another story.
