Andersen Winch 40ST 2-Speed Full Stainless Steel Self Tailing by Date Added: Friday 27 September, 2013
Andersen Winch 40ST 2-Speed Full Stainless Steel Self Tailing I bought these winches to replace my old Barlow 25 winches. Best features - FULL Stainless Steel means that they are lighter than chrome plated bronze, and will not pit. The full stainless will also not degrade in the sun, like the standard Andersen (or competitors) winch. I also like that the power rib allows the line to slip up on the drum without chafing the line. These are almost a direct replacement, in terms of power, to my old Barlow 25. I wish that I had known that before I purchased. If I did, I would have looked closer at the Andersen 46 ST. The 40ST are appropriate for a 27-35 foot boat with a 310sqft jib. Anything larger than 320sqft, and you really need the 46ST. I would recommend these...

Andersen Winch 40ST 2-Speed Full Stainless Steel Self Tailing by Date Added: Monday 26 August, 2013
Andersen Winch 40ST 2-Speed Full Stainless Steel Self Tailing FULL Stainless Steel - means that the chrome won't pit over time. These winches are also lighter in weight than chrome plated brass. They won't degrade from UV, because there is no plastic on the winch. I only wish that there was a better guide for selecting the correct Andersen winches. I purchased 40ST for my 35' boat, to replace Barlow 25ST. The Andersen 40ST is comparable, but I wish that I had purchased Andersen 46ST as an upgrade, The 40ST is an excellent choice for a 30' boat. Adequate for a 35' boat...

DHR Captains Lamp Jr Brass Oil Lamp 8208/O by Lyra Date Added: Wednesday 25 January, 2012
DHR Captains Lamp Jr Brass Oil Lamp 8208/O I have used these lamps on my last 2 boats. As an overhead and also as bulkhead mount. They are far superior to the Weems and Plath lamps. The light is bright enough to read by. You should also purchase a smoke bell if you are mounting it on a bulkhead...

Whale BP0510 Mk 5 Universal Manual Bilge Pump by Mike in MArathon, FL Date Added: Monday 28 June, 2010
Whale BP0510 Mk 5 Universal Manual Bilge Pump We bought a sailboat which had been sitting for 5 years. Evacuated and properly disposed of old diesel. Hard layer of black crap (like char-soot) on the bottom of the alum. tank. Could barely scape it off with a fingernail. Put in 2 galls of fresh diesel with about 3 oz of Star Tron Diesel. Next day pulled lid and it looked like it had not done anything.. till i went to touch the tank... all the hard soot was dissolved and became like a cloud in the diesel. Sucked that out and we had a sparkling clean fuel tank. Wow. Yep I use it all the time now. My old Perkins loves it. Also using the gas version for my Honda EU2000... that's another story...

Victory Brass Reading Light W/ Switch 20w by Irene Date Added: Thursday 25 February, 2010
Victory Brass Reading Light W/ Switch 20w The best feature of this light is that it does first what it is suppose to do and that is giving you a beautiful bright light to read. The other thing is that it looks great! The switch on and off is very practicle. Its slim and compact features are just lovely. I bought 2 for our condo and I am about to buy another one for our winter place. I have had it for over a year and I don't see any negative features. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a reading light over your bed...

Caframo Stor-Dry Low Wattage Air Circulator by George Date Added: Wednesday 01 July, 2009
Caframo Stor-Dry Low Wattage Air Circulator I have used my unit for about two years and am very please with the results. I run it year round and without question it certainly help with the mildew problem all boat acquire. I use my boat perhaps fifteen weekends a year...the rest of the time it is sailing at the dock under shore power. I run a small fan and the Stor Dry unit. The combination does a pretty good job of maintaining a livable boat for the weekends that I can use it...
