DHR was founded in 1922, and in the 1960's demand for oil lamps grew, and so did DHR's range of models. Still made in Holland, DHR oil lamps are of the highest quality, and are proudly displayed around the world in homes, cottages and vessels.
Most DHR oil lamps have a nautical history and were used on ships all over the world for navigation or just lighting purposes. Oil lamps are still used as emergency lights when all power is down, but most oil lamps are for decorative purposes as they produce a very nice light and create a relaxing atmosphere.
