Dickinson 16-010 Short 3" x 7" Stainless Steel Pipe with Barometric Damper
The 3" x 7" Barometric Damper is a short exhaust pipe, with a 1" crimp for connecting on one side.
The finished length of the pipe is 6", after the crimped end is inserted into a chimney pipe. Use 6" for calculating chimney length.
A barometric damper should be installed with all diesel and solid fuel heaters.
The purpose is to maintain a strong draft without causing too much air to the "fuel to air" mixture.
They are used as the first piece of pipe from the top of the heater or stove.
The barometric damper helps decrease the draft on longer chimneys allowing the user to operate the unit on lower fuel settings.
Recommended for use with all installations.
Grade 304 stainless steel.
Used with Dickinson Newport, Alaska and Antarctic diesel and solid fuel heaters with 3" exhaust.
