| PROtect CHAFE Abrasion Resistance Tape Transparent 2" x 118"
PROtect CHAFE is a transparent self adhesive tape using ultra high molecular weight polyethylene film and a very strong modified acrylic adhesive. With a high resistance to abrasion, it's ideal for protecting surfaces from damage caused by lines, mooring bridles, sails on spreaders or protecting any number of high chafe areas.
UHMWPE is a very tough material, with the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic presently made. It is highly resistant to abrasion, and is 15 times more resistant than carbon steel. It also has a very low coefficient of friction, and is self lubricating. Available in two thicknesses - 250 or 500 micron (10 or 20mil) Both Tapes are 51mm (2") wide and 3m (118") long. Typical applications: - Dragging lines over the deck

- Under the boom to protect it from spinnaker/gennaker sheets
